Melania Trump could stay in New York City, after all, says one report. Donald Trump and Melania announced since November that she will move to the White House once Barron Trump finishes school in the city in about a year time.
However, a family insider stated that this may not happen, reports the new issue of the Us Weekly.
“They will re-evaluate toward the end of the school year if they will keep this arrangement or if Melania and Barron will move to Washington,” the source reported. “They could go either way right now. They will ultimately do what’s best for Barron.”
A presidential long-distance relationship has not happened before, but the president doesn’t seem to be broken up.
When asked by ABC News whether the absence of Melania and his son would make him feel lonely, Trump replied: “No, because I end up working longer. And that’s OK.”
In the meantime, the first couple will take turns shuttling between their $100 million Trump Tower triplex in Manhattan and the White House.
“They’ll come down on weekends,” Trump told for the New York Times on Jan. 25.
“Melania is actively building her team, including hiring a chief of staff, a senior adviser and a social secretary, among other key positions,” said a Melania source. “While she is a mom first, she is very much embracing the role and responsibilities of first lady.”
